Remembering Dr. Wesley Ferrell Lee

Dr. Wesley Ferrell Lee, DVM, born June 11, 1955, died July 22, 2026, after a short illness. He was a much-beloved son and brother and will be greatly missed. 

 Dr. Lee is survived by his mother, Doris Virginia Staples Lee of Ruston and Minden, his son Ethan James Lee of Jackson, Wyoming, and his sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Thomas Ager of Evergreen, Colorado. Also left to cherish his memory are  many cousins in Minden and elsewhere, and a niece and grand niece in Denver.

He was pre-deceased by his father, William L. Lee of Ruston, and grandmothers Edna Maud Hollis Lee of Shreveport and Minden, and Jimmie Ivy Staples of Minden. 

 Dr. Lee grew up in Shreveport, Spain, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., and spent time in many other states. A veterinarian, he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, after a bachelor’s degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, and pre-veterinary studies at Louisiana Tech. 

 At his request, there will be no funeral service at this time.
