A man who had been banned from a Ruston apartment complex was arrested Monday after a property manager reported he was staying in a unit there, according to an arrest affidavit.
Malik Buckner, 28, of Dubach, was arrested at 11:44 a.m. Aug. 3 by the Ruston Police Department.
An officer was dispatched at 11:05 a.m. to the Twin Lakes Apartments complex on West Alabama Avenue in reference to a trespassing complaint. The property manager told the officer that Buckner had been banned from the property and was staying in a unit there.
The officer went to that unit and did not find Buckner, and the property manager then said he was next door. Buckner was located in the adjacent apartment, and further investigation showed he had four active warrants through the Ruston Police Department.
After being read his Miranda rights, Buckner acknowledged he had previously been banned from the address. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
Buckner was booked on one count of criminal trespassing and on four outstanding warrants — one for speeding, with a $2,000 bond, and three for driving under suspension, with bonds of $2,000, $2,000 and $10,000.

Persons named or shown in photographs or video as suspects in a criminal investigation, or arrested and charged with a crime, have not been convicted of any criminal offense and are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
