Louisiana Tech football enters its first season in the Sun Belt Conference with a full home schedule of storylines: an in-state season-opener, the program’s first Sun Belt home tests, a Louisiana in-state rivalry, and a stretch run against Southern Miss and Arkansas State that will help decide where the Bulldogs land in the league’s inaugural race.
Six Saturdays at Origin Bank Field at Joe Aillet Stadium. One season to be part of it from the very start.
Free tailgate lots and season-long reserved spots have long been part of Louisiana Tech game day – but with the addition of single-game reserved tailgating, fans now have a complete menu of ways to be there before kickoff, free, single-game, or season-long, so every fan, from the first-timer to the season-ticket holder, has a spot built for them.
Leading that expansion: single-game reserved tailgating, available for the first time at two premium locations just steps from the stadium. The Bone Yard, tucked behind the outfield wall at Dr. Billy Bundrick Field, and Tailgating at the Turn, set alongside the Jim Mize Track and Field Complex, offer an entirely turnkey game day experience – a grass footprint with the option for a tent, table, and chairs already set up and waiting. Fans simply show up, park, and enjoy kickoff prep without lifting a finger.
Until now, that close-in, hassle-free tailgating experience was only available as part of a season-long LTAC commitment, a corporate partnership, or RV parking. With a limited number of grass spots available at each location on a first-come basis, and demand expected to be high for a debut Sun Belt season, fans are encouraged not to wait to lock in a spot.
“Our goal is to make Louisiana Tech game day easier to be part of and give our fans more choice in how they experience it,” said Ryan Ivey, Vice President and Director of Athletics. “Not every fan comes to a Saturday the same way, and they shouldn’t have to. Some want to build out a full season, some want to pick a game or two, and some just want to show up and be around other Bulldogs. Creating more options allows us to meet people where they are while continuing to build the kind of fan around Joe Aillet Stadium.”
Every Way to Tailgate, in One Place
Between longtime favorites and the newest addition, the full range of options now stands side by side:
- Free – Tailgate Lots A, B, and C, plus free public parking near the White Lot, an established option for Bulldog fans.
- Single-game reserved (NEW) – The Bone Yard and Tailgating at the Turn, turnkey grass spots with tent, table, and chairs, available game-by-game with no season commitment.
- Season-long reserved – LTAC giving-level tailgating and RV parking, a longstanding option for fans planning a full season at the stadium.
- Corporate & university – Bulldog Village, presented near Argent Pavilion, remains the heart of game day with free food and live music for LTAC and alumni society members.
The Bulldog Walk of Pride continues in its traditional spot and time between Argent Pavilion and Bulldog Village, capped by a pregame Call the ‘Dogs pep rally, as fans welcome the team on its way into Origin Bank Field.
