The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office joined the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI) in two cases this week that led to the arrests of two men on numerous charges related to child sexual abuse material.
LBI said its agents along with investigators from the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Union Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Jawann Randle, 29, of Bastrop on Sunday.
According to officials, the investigation began when authorities discovered a suspect uploading child sexual abuse material from a Bastrop residence. LBI agents located Randle in Union Parish, where they discovered him in possession of additional illicit files.
Randle was booked at the Union Parish Detention Center for 230 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material under the age of 13 in Morehouse Parish and 30 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material under the age of 13 in Union Parish.
Randle’s bail was set $1.5 million. The investigation still remains ongoing.
A Lincoln Sheriff’s Office investigator joined LBI, West Monroe Police, and the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office in an investigation Tuesday that led to the arrest of a Monroe man.
Johnny Williams Jr., 35, was arrested for 430 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and 88 counts of sexual abuse of animals.
Bail had not been set as of Wednesday evening.
LBI is a unit of the Office of the Louisiana Attorney General. The Attorney General trains and partners with other Louisiana law enforcement agencies to aggressive investigate cases of possession, manufacture, or dissemination of child pornography that arises from sexual abuse of children. Both the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office and Ruston Police have investigators assigned to that effort.
