Two Ruston men were shot in an exchange of gunfire Sunday night in southeast Ruston.
Lt. Kayla Loyd of the Ruston Police Department said an investigation of the shooting is underway.
Loyd said patrol officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 500 block of South Farmerville Street at 11:18 p.m. Sunday night. Officers discovered William Green Jr., 24, of Ruston, suffering from gunshot wounds. Green was transported to a local medical facility for treatment.

During the investigation, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office notified RPD of a second man who had sought medical attention in Ouachita Parish for a gunshot wound. Investigators determined this individual also traveled from the Ruston scene, Loyd said.
