Man arrested after reported threats, brick thrown at home

A Dubach man was arrested Oct. 7 after he threatened two women and threw a brick at a home on Highway 151, according to an arrest affidavit.

Danyel Dunn, 47, of Dubach, was taken into custody at 12:03 p.m. at the intersection of Highways 151 and 563 by a Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched at about 11:16 a.m. to a residence on Highway 151 for a possible assault. A woman there told a deputy Dunn had been dropped off at the home by a small gray car and was acting erratic. She said she asked him to leave, and he became upset and began threatening the people inside, shouting, “I’ll kill y’all!”

The woman said Dunn then picked up a brick and threw it at the house, striking the front of the home. She told the deputy she was afraid he would come inside and hurt her. A second witness gave a similar account and said she was also very afraid.

The women described Dunn as wearing tan pants, a blue shirt and a multicolored hat. While circulating the area, a deputy saw a man matching that description and identified him as Dunn.

Dunn told the deputy he had been at the home and was upset because he was told he had to leave. He denied making any threats. He was advised of his rights, handcuffed and detained, then transported to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.

Dunn was booked on two counts of simple assault.
