A Baton Rouge man was arrested Saturday after police say he entered a Ruston residence through an unlocked window and was later found with methamphetamine.
Jarion Ray Jackson, 44, of Baton Rouge, was arrested at 4:36 p.m. Oct. 10 by the Ruston Police Department.
According to an arrest affidavit, officers were dispatched to a Ruston residence in reference to an unauthorized entry complaint. A witness told police someone was inside the residence who was not supposed to be there, and that the suspect had fled on foot shortly before officers arrived.

Police located Jackson nearby and detained him. He was handcuffed and advised of his rights.
The report states Jackson told police he had “ice,” a common slang term for methamphetamine, in his front pocket. Police removed a plastic bag containing about 2.8 grams of the drug from the pocket, along with a glass pipe used for smoking narcotics.
A witness told police Jackson had been looking around the windows of the residence before going inside. After police told Jackson the residence was not his and he had no right to be inside, the witness said, he left through a side door and tried to convince her to go back in with him.
A resident of the home told police several window screens were damaged and some were removed. The resident said entry was made through an unlocked window on the west side of the residence
Jackson was taken to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center and booked without incident.
He was booked on charges of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, simple criminal damage to property, possession of a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
