A Grambling man was arrested early Sunday after a traffic stop on South Maple Street.
Maleik Bradford, 23, of Grambling, was arrested at 4:12 a.m. Nov. 1 by the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office at South Maple Street and West Barnett Springs Avenue.

According to an arrest affidavit, a deputy traveling north on South Maple saw a vehicle fail to dim its high beams while passing. The deputy turned around, got behind the vehicle and stopped it.
The driver told the deputy he had no identification and gave a name and date of birth. The deputy couldn’t find anyone by that name in two law enforcement databases. After the driver was ordered out of the vehicle, he gave the same name again and was placed in handcuffs after being advised of his rights.
The driver was later identified as Bradford. He said he gave his brother’s name because he knew he had bench warrants. A records check showed his driver’s license was suspended.
Bradford was taken to Lincoln Parish Detention Center and booked on charges of resisting an officer by giving false information, failure to dim headlights and driving under suspension. He was also booked on three Ruston Police Department warrants for speeding, driver’s license not in possession and defective or improper equipment.
