Three Farmerville residents were arrested Sunday night after a Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy searched a vehicle outside a Highway 33 travel center and found suspected methamphetamine, buprenorphine and a glass smoking pipe.
Charles Smith, 33; Lacey Holleman, 28; and Amy Holleman, 55, all of Farmerville, were arrested at 11:23 p.m. Nov. 1.
According to arrest affidavits, a deputy walked into the travel center at about 11 p.m. and Amy Holleman, upon seeing the officer, immediately walked out the back door. The deputy drove behind the building and found a white Kia with Lacey Holleman standing next to it.
Deputies brought Amy Holleman outside and advised both women of their rights. Smith, who had ridden in the vehicle with them, was also advised of his rights.
A search turned up two bags of suspected methamphetamine, numerous doses of buprenorphine and a glass smoking pipe. The buprenorphine was in Amy Holleman’s wallet, behind her driver’s license.
Smith said the methamphetamine belonged to him. The affidavits state that all three were within arm’s length of the drugs while riding to work.
The Hollemans were handcuffed and taken to Lincoln Parish Detention Center in the deputy’s patrol unit. Smith was taken by another deputy.
Smith and Lacey Holleman were each booked on charges of possession of a Schedule II drug (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Amy Holleman was booked on those two charges and a count of possession of a Schedule III drug (buprenorphine).
