Memorial visitation for Rickey Talton Caskey, Sr., age 72 of Simsboro, LA will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Monday, March 2, 2026 at Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.
Rickey “Tricky” Caskey was born on March 2, 1953 in Alabama and passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 in Simsboro following a period of declining health. Rickey was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and a true friend to many. He had a deep love for dirt track racing, NASCAR, riding his motorcycle, and music, often sharing that love through playing his guitar. Most of all, Rickey cherished time spent with his family and friends. Those who knew him well will fondly remember that he was rarely seen without a Coke in his hand.
Rickey was preceded in death by his parents, James Alva Caskey and Addie Mae (McMillan) Caskey, and his brothers, Jr. Caskey and Robert “Bobby” Caskey.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Susan Hartley Caskey; his children, Sandie George and husband Ian, Christy Caskey Batterton and husband Donald, Dawn Caskey, and Rickey Talton Caskey, Jr. Rickey also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Bailie Cochran, Kaytlin Caskey, Wade Caskey, Rickie Caskey, Jewel Caskey, Jasmine Norman, Christopher Shane Martin, Hayle Houck, Aubrey Martin and wife Cassidy, Rudy Martin, and Forrest Martin and wife Jesseca; great-grandchildren: Elizabeth (Lyza) Martin, Liam “Frankster” Houck, and Andrew Houck; his special niece, Tracy Caskey; best friend, Kenny Harvey; many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of friends who will miss him dearly.
Rickey’s legacy lives on through the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the memories held close by all who knew him.
