Remembering Gaile Clary

Gaile Clary, 89, of Ruston, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Apri 22, 2026 with her children by her side at Alpine Nursing Home. 

She was born on December 21, 1936, at Saint Francis Hospital in Monroe, Louisiana, to Thomas and Beula Speight of Grayson, Louisiana.  Gaile earned a master’s degree in art in 1971.   She served as a traveling art teacher for the Lincoln Parish School Board for 45 years and was loved by her students for sharing her passion for art.  

Gaile Found much joy as a member of the Ouachita Kennel Club where she trained and competed in agility competition, winning numerous awards.  She was always proud of her Precious and Blu.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Patricia Anne Clary Leventhal of Naples, Florida.

She is Survived by her children; Paul Thomas Clary-Archuleta (Andrew) of Kansas City, Missouri; Ben Daniel Clary (Ann) of Eldorado, Arkansas; and John Gray Clary (Martie) of Ruston, Louisiana; as well as eight grandchildren; and 10 greatgrandchildren.

Services for Gaile will be held at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Ruston, Louisiana.   Officiating will be Reverand Kevin Mues.   Interment will follow at Kilpatrick Memorial Gardens in Ruston, Louisiana, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes.   A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 at the Luffy Center.  A Rosary will be held at 10:30 followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.

Pallbearers will be Gray Clary, Grant Clary, Graham Clary, Gary Gaffney, Landen Gaffney, and Michael Savage.
