Memorial services for William Kendal Weir, age 67 of Ruston, LA will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, May 15, 2026 at Owens Memorial Chapel with Marshall Boyd officiating.
William Kendal Weir, known as Kenny to most, was born December 21, 1958 in Monroe, LA at St. Francis Medical Center to Geraldine McKinnie and Hollis Lionel Weir and he passed away April 26, 2026 in Ruston, LA. He had moved back to North Louisiana in August of 2025 to be near family.
Kenny graduated Ridgedale Academy in West Monroe, LA in 1977. He then attended Northeast Louisiana University and joined the United States Army, where he achieved the rank of Captain as an Airborne Soldier. After leaving the Army, Kenny moved to Albuquerque, NM and worked in Contract Securities.
Kenny is preceded in death by his parent. He is survived by his brother, M. Kevin Weir of Ruston, LA; niece, Loren Wise and husband Tristan of Mooringsport, LA; nephew, Mark Weir and fiancé Jena Green of Ruston, LA; great-nieces and great nephews, Evelyn, Isaac, Elisha, and Noah.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, Friday at Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.
