SIMSBORO, La. — The Simsboro Lions Club will host its first Trunk or Treat and Movie in the Park on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Ragan Madden Park in Simsboro.
The free event begins at 5:30 p.m. and is open to families.
Children can trunk-or-treat, collect candy and take part in games and activities. Decorated vehicles and Halloween decorations will be on display.
Hot dogs, chips, water and popcorn will be provided at no cost. Families are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to watch a movie on a big screen in the park.
The club hopes the event gives neighbors a chance to gather in a safe, welcoming environment.
