Oklahoma woman arrested on traffic stop

A woman is in custody for drug possession after a Lincoln Parish deputy stopped a car she was riding in.

A deputy saw a vehicle leaving Mayfield Park with an obscured license plate about 3:30 Wednesday afternoon. The driver admitted to having “a little bud” (marijuana) in the driver’s side door. 

To conduct a search, the deputy had a passenger, Stephanie L. Garner, 40, of Enid, Oklahoma to step out of the vehicle. A bag near the center console contained a plastic baggies of suspected ecstasy tablets, glass smoking pipes, and other suspected drug paraphernalia. 

Garner reportedly claimed the bag as hers but not the drugs and paraphernalia inside.

Garner was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-ecstasy and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bail was set at $10,000.
