Man arrested after refusing police ID
Grambling Police arrested a Ruston man Wednesday after he allegedly refused to identify himself to officers during a confrontation on a traffic stop.
Jeremy A. Brewster, 37, was charged with resisting an officer after the vehicle he was a passenger in was stopped for going the wrong way on a one-way street near Lincoln Preparatory School in Grambling.
While an officer was dealing with the driver, Brewster allegedly began yelling profanities. When asked for his identification, he allegedly said, “Man, I don’t have to give you —-. I ain’t done —-.”
Brewster was asked several times for his identification which he refused to provide. When ordered out of the vehicle, Brewster said he had a firearm inside his hoodie. He was arrested and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for two counts of resisting an officer.
