A Mer Rouge man stopped by a Lincoln Parish sheriff’s deputy for illegal window tint on his vehicle Saturday afternoon has been charged with drug and firearm possession and a fugitive warrant from Van Zandt County, Texas.
Deputy Dee Fleming spotted Jarvis Logan, 23, traveling on Martin Luther King Drive with alleged improper tint on his windows. During the stop, the deputy smelled marijuana coming from the car. A search was conducted, revealing several bags of marijuana and a 9mm handgun.
Logan was arrested and a computer check revealed he was wanted on a felony warrant from Van Zandt County, Texas. He remains in the Lincoln Parish Detention Center in lieu of $30,000 bail on charges of illegal window tint, possession of marijuana, and illegal possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance. Bail on the Texas drug charge was set at $25,000.
