Howard, who returns back to Grambling State University after two years at Florida A&M University, will also serve GSU in a dual role position as the Assistant Director in University Communications.

“We are extremely thrilled to have Brian Howard back at Grambling State,” Scott said. “He brings a lot of experience from his time previously here, as well as his time working at multiple Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). He is a huge asset to the team we are assembling and we look forward to having him back at The G!”

Before taking the job at Ouachita Baptist, Howard spent a year and a half covering Gulf South Conference action at the University of West Alabama. While in Livingston, Ala., and covering West Alabama, his duties included being a contact for various sports, primarily volleyball, women’s basketball and softball. Other duties included producing media guides, writing press releases, maintaining the athletic web site and being the public address announcer for home baseball and softball games.

Howard has been around sports his entire life, spending 15 years as a soccer player.
