Get ready for MOVEmber

The Lincoln Parish Library and LSU AgCenter have partnered during the month of November to challenge the community to get out and move with MOVEmber.

Individuals or families can participate in this event.

Participants will keep track of their moving minutes — each time they get up and move for at least 15 minutes. They earn a point for each minute of activity logged. Additional points can be earned by completing the challenges listed on the event log. For every 100 points earned, participants — again, being individuals or teams — can earn an entry into a prize drawing for various prizes. The more points earned, the more tickets entered into the drawing.

Examples of moving minutes include walking, biking, running, sports, yoga, raking leaves, mowing the lawn, walking the dog, dancing, lifting weights, kayaking and swimming.

All MOVEmber Official Event Logs must be turned into the Library by 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1 to be counted for the prize drawing that will be held Thursday, Dec. 7.
