
A Dubach man was arrested Sunday after a brief investigation by the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Department.
A Featherstone Lane resident reported the theft of his ATV to the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office. The victim later reported he had spoken to his grandson over the phone who admitted he stole the ATV with the assistance of a juvenile. Vehicle tracks from the juvenile’s residence led deputies to an abandoned warehouse in downtown Dubach. The stolen ATV was found behind the building.
The suspect, Jon D. Dumas, 22, was located by deputies and admitted taking the ATV with the help of the juvenile.
Dumas was arrested for theft of a vehicle valued less than $1,000 and a failure to appear warrant held by the City of Ruston.
Bail was set at $4,500.
