
It’s rivalry Tuesday as Louisiana Tech baseball and softball face two of their oldest opponents.
Baseball
The Bulldogs return from their three-game road trip to Hattiesburg to host UL-Lafayette in back-to-back midweek contests against the Ragin Cajuns.
Tech and UL-Lafayette will face of tonight and Wednesday at 6 p.m. at JC Love Field at Pat Patterson Park. It marks the start of five homes games for the Bulldogs over a six-day stretch.
The contests can be heard on 97.7 FM and seen streamed on CUSA.tv.
Tech (19-9, 6-3 CUSA) and UL-Lafayette (14-13, 4-5 Sun Belt) meet for the 125th time on after facing off twice in the 2021 season.
UL-Lafayette swept the season series last year winning 2-0 and 7-2 with both contests held in Lafayette. The last time the two squared off in Ruston was in 2019 as the Bulldogs were victorious 3-2 in 10 innings.
Softball
The Lady Techsters travel down I-20 to face ULM on tonight at the ULM Softball Complex with a 6 p.m. first pitch.
The contest can be seen on ESPN+.
Tech (22-15, 7-5 C-USA) and ULM (18-14, 4-8 Sun Belt) meet for the first time this season, although the two programs are slated to play in Ruston later in April.
The Lady Techsters are coming off a weekend that saw them take two out of three against UTSA while the Warhawks dropped all three games at UT-Arlington.
After tonight’s game the Lady Techsters will host Stephen F. Austin (Thursday) and Nicholls State (Friday and Saturday).
Volleyball
The Lady Techsters will host their only home spring match of 2022 when Stephen F. Austin comes to the Thomas Assembly Center tonight. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
Tech will play two spring tournaments on the road, including this Saturday in Houston and Saturday, April 23 at Stephen F. Austin.
