Bulldog baseball players Steele Netterville and Jonathan Fincher became the fourth and fifth student-athletes in Louisiana Tech history to earn multiple CoSIDA Academic All-America honors multiple times in their Louisiana Tech careers.
The duo join Kim Mulkey (three time), Paige England (two time) and Katie Sloan (two time) as multiple recipients of the most prestigious athletic-academic award across the NCAA.
Louisiana Tech has tabbed a total of 20 Academic All-Americans, including at least one in nine of the last 11 years.
Netterville and Fincher collect second-team honors and are two of six student-athletes around the nation to tab back-to-back awards in 2022.
The pair of Shreveport natives graduated with degrees in biology and are both pursuing a second degree in kinesiology and health sciences. Fincher boasts a 3.90 GPA in his redshirt fourth season while Netterville recorded a 3.93 GPA in his fifth season.
Netterville plans to pursue medical school in the near future while Fincher has one year left of eligibility.
