A.E. Phillips Lab School is using this summer to add some aesthetic and educational updates to its outdoor playground.
A.E Phillips director Jenny Blalock said the renovations will be quite significant, and the outdoor learning station will give the students a safe place to learn and play.
“We just want our students to learn in different ways,” Blalock said. “We want to make school a place where our students love to come.”
The new changes will enhance the recreational health, education and safety experience for the Bullpups — and for the teachers and students teachers at the school.
“If students would like to be a teacher one day, we can give them a top tier experience and education, helping them observe and visualize what a school should look like,” Blalock said.
A.E. Phillips has just about over 400 students, and approximately two classes in every grade, kindergarten through eighth grade. Adding on outdoor learning activities will add a large change to the learning environment.
