Harassment call leads to warrant arrest

At about 1 p.m. Wednesday, Ruston Police responded to Super One on Trenton Street regarding a man harassing customers exiting the store. 

A man matching the description was seen entering a truck leaving the parking lot. An officer recognized him as Frederick Crew, 59, of Ruston, who was wanted on several warrants. 

The truck was stopped, and Crew was arrested. He denied bothering customers. 

Crew was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center on three warrants for failure to appear in Ruston City Court for driving under suspension, failure to register a vehicle, and no liability insurance. 

Bail was set at $6,000.
