Man booked for violating protective order

A man allegedly violated a court-issued protective order when he went to the residence of the protected party Sunday night.

Lincoln Parish sheriff’s deputies responded to a U.S. 80 residence west of Ruston about 10:00 p.m. after a caller reported a woman needed assistance.

When deputies arrived, they could hear arguing inside the residence. When the door was opened by a woman, a man ran out the back door. He was ordered to stop but did not comply. Deputies captured Patrick A. Spencer, II, 28, of Richwood nearby.

The woman stated Spencer was upset about something she posted on social media and began yelling and threatening her. She stated an active protective order prevented Spencer from being at her residence.

Spencer was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for violation of a protective order and resisting an officer.

Bail was set at $3,500.
