Ruston Police responded to an Eastland Avenue residence Saturday to investigate a domestic battery complaint.
Bricelyn Hardyway 25, of Ruston, told officers he became angry with his sister because she would not clean up a mess she had made. Hardyway said he chased his sister into her room and attempted to force her to clean up. During that time, he pushed her against a wall by her face.
The victim stated that just prior to her call to Ruston Police, Hardyway had chased her into a room and attempt to take her phone from her. She said an argument occurred because she would not clean up some crumbs from the floor. She said when Hardyway entered her room, he pushed her against the wall and struck her in the face with his hand. She then ran out of the residence in an attempt to get away.
Officers saw the victim’s upper lip was bleeding slightly as well as her left ring finger. The victim stated those injuries occurred when she was attempting to get away from Hardyway.
Hardyway was arrested for domestic abuse battery and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
