Tech softball adds Colorado product

Louisiana Tech head coach Josh Taylor has announced the addition of middle infielder Gracie Flores who signed a national letter of intent to join the Lady Techster program.

“We couldn’t be more excited to add Gracie to our 2023 roster,” Taylor said. “She is a dynamic infielder who has a strong left-handed bat. She will be a great addition to our culture and softball family at LA Tech.”

Flores was a four-year letter winner at Berthoud High School in Berthoud, Colo., where she led the Spartans with a .466 batting average with 41 hits, three home runs, 40 runs and 23 RBI as a senior.

“I chose to come to Louisiana Tech because the people I met were great and the campus was beautiful,” Flores said. “I love the location and am so excited to be a part of the LA Tech family.”

Flores earned honorable mention all-state honors in 2021 and 2022. While being named Loveland Herald Player of the Year and being selected to the CHSCA All-State Games and Colorado All-State Games as a senior.

Flores has also lettered in basketball and track, where she qualified for state in the shot put and discus in 2022. 

She joins a 2023 recruiting class that includes Mattison Buster (Como-Pickton HS/Sulphur Springs Texas), Allie Furr (Cedar Creek HS/Ruston, La.), Karolyn Glover (Edward C. Reed HS/Reno, Nev.) and Karli Sellers (West Monroe HS/West Monroe, La.)
