A Ruston woman was arrested Saturday after she returned to a residence where she had been arrested previously.
The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a Tarbutton Road home due to a complaint regarding Anna Laura Galeana-Gonzalez, 33. Deputies were aware the woman had been charged previously with breaking the victim’s windows.
When deputies arrived at the home, the caller said Gonzalez had run away. Deputies were unable to locate her. A short time later, deputies were called back to the residence in response to a report Gonzalez had broken the victim’s window.
Deputies saw the broken window and searched the area again for Gonzalez. A bag of her personal belongings was found next to a broken down vehicle nearby. Gonzalez was found hiding under a blanket in the vehicle. She was directed numerous times to step out of the vehicle. When she did comply, she attempted to twist her arm away from custody during handcuffing. She appeared to be highly intoxicated and attempted to walk away from deputies. She had to be physically picked up and placed in a patrol car.
Gonzalez was arrested for disturbing the peace by being intoxicated in public and resisting an officer. At the Lincoln Parish Detention Center, she fell to the floor and began beating her chest with her right hand. Detention center staff who were familiar with Gonzalez said that they were aware of a previous medical condition. Deputies rendered aid and a Spanish-speaking interpreter was contacted. Gonzalez was transported by ambulance to the Northern Louisiana Medical Center where she was evaluated and released.
Gonzalez was also booked on five warrants for failure to appear in court on charges of damage to property, simple battery and resisting an officer related to previous calls at the same residence. Bail was set at $11,750.
