Memorial Services for Norma Ristimaki Hood, age 86, of Ruston, LA, will be held Friday, June 09, 2023, in the Burkhalter Chapel of Trinity Methodist Church of Ruston, LA, at 2:00 P.M. Officiating the service will be Rev. Doug de Graffenreid. Visitation will be at the chapel from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. A Private Graveside Service will be at St. Rest Cemetery, Dubach, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of Ruston.
Norma was born on September 29, 1936, to Arvi and Viola Ristimaki in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. She was a Homemaker, a member of Trinity Methodist Church of Ruston, LA, where she was a member of UMW and the Littera Club. She is preceded in death by her husband, J. E. Hood, and her son, Wendell Hood.
Norma is survived by her children; Belinda Hays of Ruston, LA, Tory Tettleton and husband Tim of Farmerville, LA; daughter in law, Beverly Hood of Minden, LA; grandchildren, Parker Tettleton, Hal Hays and wife Kate, Colton Hays and wife Elayna, Mason Hood; and a great grandson, Everett Hays.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made, in her honor, to Trinity Methodist Church, of Ruston, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
