Man charged with disclosing photos to adult website

An Alabama man is in custody on charges he disclosed private images of a former girlfriend without her consent.

Kobe Allen Cox, 23, of Theodore, Alabama, was arrested on warrants last Wednesday after an investigation by the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office.

LPSO’s Matt Henderson said Cox is accused of texting photos and posting images to adult websites without the woman’s consent.

Cox was booked into the Lincoln Parish Detention Center on 44 counts of nonconsensual disclosure of a private image.

The relatively new law was passed by the Louisiana Legislature in 2015. It carries a potential penalty of a fine of not more than $10,000, imprisonment with or without hard labor for not more than two years, or both.

Cox’s bail was set at $100,000.
