A man wanted for attempted murder was arrested Friday after a search warrant was executed by the Lincoln Parish Narcotics Enforcement Team (LPNET).
LPNET, accompanied by the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team, executed a search warrant in the 2000 block of East Georgia Avenue Friday afternoon.
The search of the residence discovered eight large plastic bags of marijuana. Tyrone L. Singleton, 40, was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and a warrant from the Union Parish Sheriff’s Office for attempted second degree murder.
Singleton was wanted by the UPSO for a shooting in Bernice in February in which another man was shot in the head.
Bail on the drug charge was set at $30,000.
