Grambling police arrest DeRidder man on drug charges

Police made two drug arrests last Wednesday during the course of investigations.

At about 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, Grambling Police spotted a 2013 Hyundai sitting in a vacant lot behind University Place apartments. Upon making contact with the occupants, the officer smelled a strong odor of suspected marijuana. 


During questioning, one of the occupants admitted having marijuana in his book bag. A search revealed 38 grams of suspected marijuana, numerous cigars, and digital scales.

Jalen K. Marks, 23, of DeRidder, was booked into the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
