The Sanders Family is back and spreading Christmas cheer in Ruston Community Theatre’s upcoming show “Sanders Family Christmas,” directed by Dee Alexander, and sponsored by Argent Financial Group.
Those who enjoyed last year’s “Smoke on the Mountain” last fall, will recognize the same characters for this Christmas-special sequel.
The musical is written by Connie Rae, and conceived by Alan Bailey, with musical arrangements by John Foley and Gary Fagin.
This will be a reprisal cast featuring all the same performers as last year.
The story begins Dec. 24, 1941, with America is going to war, as is Dennis Sanders, of the Sanders Family Singers. Viewers will join Pastor Mervin Oglethorpe and the rest of the Sanders family as they send Dennis off with hilarious and touching stories and 25 Southern Gospel Christmas favorites.

The show dates will be Nov. 9-12, Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. at The MARC of RCT, located at 504 East Georgia Ave. in Ruston.
