Domestic prompts arrest

Roston Police arrested a local man early Sunday morning after he allegedly beat his girlfriend.

Christopher Bradford, 26, of Ruston, was arrested for domestic abuse battery after officers investigated the incident on Emerald Trace Drive about 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

The alleged victim said Bradford had come to the residence and became irritated with her. He allegedly punched her on the side of the neck and then grabbed her face, cutting her with his nails. Officers saw bleeding cuts on the victim’s face.


Bradford told police he had gone to the residence to retrieve his clothes. He said the victim hit the door during his time at the apartment. He said the victim hit the door after he moved her.

Bradford was arrested and taken to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center where he was booked on the battery charge and a warrant for failure to appear in Ruston City Court.
