Lincoln Parish sheriff’s deputies arrested a Ruston man Saturday after he allegedly threatened to kill a woman and her son.
The Sheriff’s Office received information that alleged Jason E. Flowers, 49, was at a Liner Street residence, was armed, and had threatened to kill the woman and her son. Deputies found Flowers asleep in a bed with a Remington Model 760 rifle lying next to him. He was taken into custody and the loaded rifle was secured.
Records show Flowers is a convicted felon and possession of the firearm was a violation of his probation. He was arrested and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and held for the Louisiana Department of Corrections–Probation and Parole Unit.
Bail was set at $50,000.
