Many 1, Cedar Creek 0 (Wednesday)
Ladd Thompson pitched seven strong innings, but the Cougars bats were kept silent in a 1-0 loss to Many last night.
Thompson tossed 7.0 innings, allowing just one run on four hits and two walks with five strikeouts in the tough-luck loss.
The Tigers plated the only run of the game in the first inning on a one-out single that scored the two-hole hitter who reached on an HBP.
The Cougars managed just four hits in the game, two by Blake Wade and one each by Trent Franklin and Connor Yates.
Yates singled to lead off the seventh inning and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Brett Bell, but the tying run was stranded following a pop out and fly out that ended the game.
St. Frederick 4, Cedar Creek 2 (Tuesday)
A trio of Cedar Creek pitchers held St. Frederick to just five hits but the Cougars bats were silent most of the night in a 4-2 loss to the Warriors Tuesday night.
Max Brister got the start on the mound, tossing 5.1 innings while allowing three runs — two earned — on three hits and two walks while Kade Luker worked 1.1 innings in relief, allowing one run on two hits and one walk with three strikeouts. JB Robinson recorded the final out.
The Warriors scored one in the first and one in the second to take a 2-0 advantage before the Cougars (7-6) finally plated a run in the bottom of the fifth.
Connor Yates and Gavin Hall drew back-to-back walks and moved into scoring position on a sac bunt by Brister. Luker then drove Yates home on a ground out to first base to cut the deficit to 2-1.
The Warriors added runs in both the sixth and seventh to extend their lead to 4-1. In the bottom of the seventh, Yates led off with a single and moved to second on an error. One out later, he scored on a single to right field by Brister.
Following a pitching change by the Warriors, the final two outs were recorded via strikeout to end the game.

Byrd 7, Cedar Creek 0 (Saturday)
Six errors were too much to overcome as the Cougars fell 7-0 to the Class 5A Yellow Jackets.
Kade Luker, Trent Franklin, Connor Yates, Max Brister each registered one base hit for the Cougars.
JB Robinson Robinson tossed 3.1 innings, allowing four runs — one earned — on three hits and four walks along with one strikeout. Eli Slocum allowed two runs — one earned — on no hits and one walk while Luke Thompson worked 1.2 innings, allowing one run on one hit and one walk. Connor Yates worked scoreless seventh inning.

Cedar Creek 14, Doyline 3 (Friday)
Trent Franklin, Blake Wade, Brett Bell and Connor Yates each recorded multi-RBI performances as the Cougars run-ruled the Panthers.
Creek scored seven in the first and five in the third to blow the game open in cruising to the victory.
Wade (2-2, 3 runs, 2 RBI), Noah Durrett (2-3, RBI, run), and Max Brister (2-3, run) all registered multiple hits in the ballgame.
Jackson Mock, Durrett and Eli Slocum combined on the mound to allow just two earned runs on three hits with six strikeouts. Durrett worked 2.0 scoreless innings while striking out three and Slocum tossed 1.0 inning while striking out two.

Cedar Creek 1, Lakeside 0 (Thursday)
Max Brister threw a complete-game shutout as Cedar Creek defeated Lakeside 1-0.
The Cougars plated an early run and Brister made it stand, allowing just four hits and one walk while striking out five in the victory.
Ladd Thompson recorded an RBI single in the top of the first inning, scoring Kade Luker who reached on an error to start the game.
Brister retired 12 straight batters at one point in the game and Lakeside didn’t have multiple base runners in an inning until the seventh. With the tying run on third and only one out, Brister induced an infield pop out and a then recorded his fifth strikeout to end the game.

Cedar Creek will play North Desoto (today at 5 p.m.), Many at Minden (Friday at 4 p.m.) and at Minden (Saturday at 12 p.m.)
