Dubach has plenty to celebrate and the town wants everyone to join in Saturday.
“It all started when the folks at Dubach Baptist Church agreed to relocate their annual fireworks show from Tatum Pond to James Lake,” said Dubach Mayor Mona Wilson. “That date coincided with the completion of our new Children’s Park, the restoration of our historic ballpark, the renovation of the Lewis Pavilion, and our new boat launch.”
“So,” the mayor said, “we decided to throw a big party and call it Celebrate Dubach!”
The festivities begin early Saturday morning with a ribbon cutting followed by a softball tournament at the newly renovated ballpark. Later that morning, the town will host a kid’s fishing tournament on James Lake.

Randy Rogers is chairman of non-profit Dubach Legends which has handled much of the workload in restoring some of the facilities. Rogers said, “Around 4:30 p.m. on the sixth, leading up to the fireworks show, we’ll have some live music at the Lewis Pavilion on James Lake. Opening the show will be country music recording artist Trey Gauthreaux, followed by Dubach’s own Jade Reynolds, Ryne Little, and piano jazz man Alfred Young.”
Dubach has plenty to brag about with the improvement of the town’s appearance and the renewal of recreational facilities.
Mayor Wilson urges everyone to attend the post-Independence Day festivities. “This all-day event will have something for the entire family from fishing to fireworks,” Wilson said. “We hope you’ll come and help us Celebrate Dubach!”
