Sheriff Stephen Williams reported the Sheriff’s Office Inmate Litter Crew performed 200 hours of roadside cleanup in September. The crew collected 292 total bags of trash and removed 7,680 pounds of litter from parish roads.
This follows 256 hours of roadside cleanup in August. That month, the crew collected 303 total bags of trash and removed 7,740 pounds of litter.

The end of the regular season for high school football is quickly approaching. Ruston High and Cedar Creek have regular season home games this Friday and November 1; Cedar Creek has its last home game November 8. Lincoln Prep plays at home three more times—this Thursday, October 25 (vs. Cedar Creek), and November 8.
Hurricane relief supplies can be dropped off at Rolling Hills Ministries at 3487 Highway 33 or at the RHM Bookstore at 1103 Farmerville Hwy. Paper goods, hygiene products, and supplies for clean-up like buckets, mops, shovels, hoses, dust masks, etc. are sorely needed after two recent storms in the Southeast.
