Patrons renting accommodations at the Lincoln Parish Library Events Center have the option of leaving the setting up before an event and afterwards cleanup to staff workers after a motion was approved by the LPL Board of Control during a monthly meeting held Thursday.

Garbage removal and setup/breakdown are separate fees from the rental charge itself. Supplementary services may be added to a rental agreement up to one week before an event is held.
Fees for garbage removal are $50 per day for half-day usage and $100 per day for full-day usage in rooms under 2,000 square feet and $100 per day for half-day usage and $200 per day for full-day usage in rooms over 2,000 square feet.
Garbage removal includes monitoring garbage cans during the event and taking out garbage placed in event space cans. Garbage removal does not include any waste made by a catering service. Garbage removal does not include cleaning, which falls under Events Center policy guidelines.
Excessive cleaning expenses are applicable. If a caterer is used, they are responsible for cleanup of the prep kitchen areas.
Room setup plan must be finalized 72 hours before the event. Any additional tables or chairs needed after that time will be charged the per item price.

The setup fee schedule for individual rooms are as follows:
• Dubach Room $100
• Choudrant Room $100
• Simsboro Room $100
• Dubach and Choudrant Rooms $200
• Choudrant and Simsboro Rooms $200
• Auditorium (Dubach, Choudrant and Simsboro Rooms) $300
Due to policy use guidelines, Grambling Room services are $1 per chair and $10 per item table only and are therefore an additional charge unless turnkey service is purchased.
Turnkey service includes garbage removal and complete space set up and breakdown plus cleaning of event spaces used within Events Center Policy guidelines.
A 501c3 discount does not apply to turnkey services.
The turnkey fee schedule is as follows:
• Dubach Room $ 200 for a half day and $250 for a whole day
• Choudrant Room $ 200 for a half day and $250 for a whole day
• Simsboro Room $ 200 for a half day and $250 for a whole day
• Dubach and Choudrant Rooms $325 for a half day and $375 for a whole day
• Choudrant and Simsboro Rooms $300 for a half day and $350 for a whole day
• Auditorium (Dubach, Choudrant and Simsboro Rooms) $400 for a half day and $500 for a whole day
• Ruston Room $800 for a half day and $900 for a whole day
• Entire facility $1,250 for a half day and $1,350 for a whole day
During Thursday’s meeting the LPL Board of Control also approved a change to its holiday and special schedules to clarify what those hours will be.
“Back in the spring I made the list of new holiday and special schedules and presented it, and realized I had forgotten it,” said LPL Director Jeremy Bolom. “So last month we approved the holiday schedule without the new hours on it. It was the old format. So this gets us back to the way I wanted it.”
Those special hours include a summer-only time schedule of 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and 1 – 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The summer hours time schedule will begin on May 27 and end on Aug. 31.
Bolom told board members during the meeting that the “Pictures with Santa” event held on Dec. 14 was a big success with more than 400 pictures being taken with the jolly old elf himself.
