Three players scored in double figures to lead Cedar Creek to a 60-37 road win over Summerfield Thursday night.

Jake Terry scored 16 points, Jack Bell added 13 points and Cannon Robbins chipped in with 11 as the Cougars (10-4) outscored Summerfield in all four quarters on its way to its 10th win of the season.

“The guys are learning to be patient, so we were able to pass the ball around to get some good shots around the rim,” said head coach Lance Waldron. “We continue to focus on winning the rebound battle, and we did that again tonight.”

Bell, Terry and Robbins combined to score 14 of the Cougars first quarter points as Creek doubled up the Rebels 18-9. Brett Bell added five points in the second quarter, including one of three trifectas (Cameran Temple, Robbins) to push the Cougars lead out to 34-22 at the half.

“Summerfield has a really solid big man inside, and Jack and Luke (Waldron) had their hands full, but they were able to contain him,” said Lance Waldron. “We are playing good team basketball, and I am pleased with the effort they are putting into each game.”

The third quarter proved to be a defensive struggle for both teams as Creek outscored Summerfield 6-4 to extend the advantage to 40-26 entering the final stanza.

Jack Bell once again led the way in the fourth, scoring six points as the Cougars put the game away with a 20-point outburst over the final eight minutes.

In addition to the three double digit scorers, Brett Bell added nine points.
