Sullivan selected as Rotarian District Governor

Victoria Sullivan from the Lincoln Rotary Club was selected as the District’s DGND during last weekend’s District 6190 Mid-Year Meeting.

She immediately assumes the position of District Governor Nominee Designate and will serve the District as DG in 2027-28.

Sullivan was selected from three candidates for the position.

“After joining Rotary in 2018, I quickly learned that Rotary was not just another service club,” said Sullivan. “We are able to serve the needs of our community, our district, and even foreign countries through giving right here in Lincoln Parish. After serving in several leadership positions within my District, I really felt called to apply to serve as Rotary International District 6190 District Governor.

“I’m so thankful and honored to have been chosen. It is my plan and vision to grow Rotary in Lincoln Parish and spread the good news of what it means to be a Rotarian, always putting service to others above yourself.”

Sullivan is originally from Memphis, Tennessee but has resided and served in Lincoln Parish for the past ten years. Victoria earned her Bachelors Degree in Political Science with a minor in Public Administration and Non-Profit Management from Mississippi State University in 2013.

Sullivan started her banking career a decade ago and has worked heavily in the Mortgage Industry and Market Development. She is currently an AVP, Mortgage and Commercial Loan Officer at GBT – Gibsland Bank & Trust serving her customers in Lincoln and surrounding parishes.

She is a Certified Financial Counselor and a graduate of LBA Mortgage Banking School. Victoria is extremely passionate about homeownership education and financial literacy which has been a driving force in her community involvement in Lincoln Parish.

She is a Leadership Lincoln Graduate, a Top 20 Under 40 Nominee for the Monroe Chamber of Commerce in 2018, Top 5 Young Business Leaders to Watch for the Ruston Lincoln Chamber of Commerce in 2018 and Ambassador of the Year for the Ruston Lincoln Chamber of Commerce 2019.

Sullivan is very active in her community as a member of First Baptist Ruston, Co-Founder and Vice- President of The Linc Foundation, Teach One to Lead One Louisiana Mentor, President of Lincoln Rotary, Founder of Lincoln Rotary After Hours, Public Image Chair for Rotary District 6190, Financial Literacy Team with Zion Traveler Community Development Corporation and an active volunteer of United Way of Northeast Louisiana serving on the Campaign Cabinet, Community Impact Investment Panel, Young Leaders United, and READ. LEARN. SUCCEED.

Victoria and her husband, Brody, who is also a Rotarian, reside in Choudrant with their sons, Mattison and Benson.
