Louisiana Tech Tennis head coach Amy Sargeant announced Monday the signing of Isabella Walker to the 2025-26 roster.

Walker, a 5-foot-6 right-hander from Birmingham, England, owns a 10.03 UTR ranking and is the first signee for LA Tech’s recruiting class.

“I am absolutely thrilled with the signing of Isabella Walker,” said Sargeant. “Throughout the process, I found that Issy and I walked a very similar path and experience as a junior tennis player. Issy and I grew up in the same county and shared similar coaching styles and beliefs. Most importantly, we share a humble mentality through family and hard work.

“Her experience as one of the best juniors in Great Britain will bring a spark to our team both on and off the court. I am excited to share the Bulldog experience and continue building a championship mentality program.”

Most recently, Walker participated in the 2024 Winter Cup for Great Britain U16. She was ranked No. 4 in Great Britain U16 and had a top 450 junior ITF ranking at the age of 15.

She was a singles semifinalist and doubles finalist at the SF-J100 ITF Glasgow U16 national championships, a semifinalist at the British Tour Masters Loughbrough, and a champion at both the W-J60 ITF Luxembourg and WJ30ITF Belfast events.

“I chose Louisiana Tech because of their great coach Amy Sargeant and the great group of tennis players they have,” said Walker.
