The Lincoln Parish School Board unanimously voted to approve the 2025-26 calendar during its February meeting on Tuesday, with school set to officially start for students on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025.
“We wanted to get it out to everyone,” Lincoln Parish School Board Superintendent Ricky Durrett said. “We usually get it out in February so that people can make plans for next year if they want to take trips over fall break, Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter. We listened to our teachers — they really like it when spring break and Easter break are not within the same week. We also took into consideration when we expect the testing schedule to be final, but that has not been released by the state just yet.”

Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025: First day for 1st – 12th grade (Full Day)
Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025: First day for PK-K Boys
Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025: First day for PK-K Girls
Friday, Aug. 22, 2025: All PK-K Students Report
Monday, Oct. 13 – Friday, Oct. 17, 2025: Fall Break
Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025: First Nine-Week Report Cards
Monday, Nov. 24 – Friday, Nov. 28, 2025: Thanksgiving Break
Monday, Dec. 22 – Monday, Jan. 5, 2026: Christmas Break (Students out, Teacher work day Jan. 5)
Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026 – Second Nine-Week Report Cards
Monday, March 9 – Friday, March 13, 2026: Spring Break
