Louisiana Tech pitcher Allie Floyd earned her second Conference USA Pitcher of the Week award as the league announced the honors Monday afternoon.
Floyd was flawless in the circle this weekend as she tossed two complete-game shutouts, leading LA Tech to a three-game sweep over Kennesaw State.
The right-hander logged 14.0 innings and allowed nine hits while striking out 11 and issuing just four walks. Floyd logged 7.0 innings in Friday night’s 4-0 win while only allowing three hits. She pitched a second 7.0 inning complete game in Sunday’s 6-0 win and struck out eight Owls while allowing six hits.

The Texas native became the 18th LA Tech pitcher to record 20-wins in a single season after earning the victory on Sunday. She is 20-9 this season and leads CUSA in every major category. She leads the league in wins (20), complete games (15), innings pitched (173.0), and strikeouts (164).
Floyd will lead Tech into a match-up of the top two teams in Conference USA this weekend when the Bulldogs host first place and Top 25 ranked Liberty at Dr. Billy Bundrick Field Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
