A Ruston woman was arrested last week after officers investigating a disturbance encountered her and learned she was wanted on six warrants.
Yolanda Yvette Torbor, 41, was arrested on April 23 as Ruston Police investigated a report of a disturbance with gunshots fired.
When officers arrived on the scene on Groveland Avenue about 4:00 a.m., they encountered Torbor. A records check revealed she was wanted for failure to appear in Ruston City Court on three charges and three warrants from Third District Court.

When she was arrested and asked if she had any contraband on her, she said no. However, at the detention center, staff located a glass smoking pipe suspected for use in consuming crack cocaine.
Torbor was booked for introduction of contraband into a penal facility, the City Court warrants for criminal damage to property and two counts of simple battery and the three district court warrants for battery on a police officer, resisting an officer, and disturbing the peace.
Bail on the six warrants was set at $24,000. The bail amount on the contraband charge was not available.
