Traffic violator resists Grambling officer

A California man was arrested by Grambling Police July 8 after he was stopped for speeding and began refusing to follow commands and resisted officers.

Dejuan A. Allen, 52 of Hayward, California, was booked for resisting an officer and battery of police officers after he said he did not want to die and reached for his waistband.

Officers responded by handcuffing Allen. However, when officers attempted to place him in a patrol car, Allen kicked and headbutted them. A Taser was deployed with no effect on Allen, according to an officer’s report. Officers were eventually able to get Allen into the patrol car. He was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for three counts of resisting an officer and two counts of battery of a police officer.
