Wanted man found with drugs inside pants

Police booked a Ruston man earlier this month after he was found to be wanted and also in possession of several types of drugs.

Billy Torbor, Jr., 33, was arrested after he was stopped for traffic violations in southeast Ruston.

Torbor was stopped about 8:30 p.m. when a Ruston Police officer saw a vehicle with an unreadable temporary license tag and improper brake lights. The female driver admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle recently.

The passenger, Torbor, was directed out of the vehicle. When the car door was opened, the officer saw a small clear bag between Torbor’s feet. Torbor denied any knowledge of the bag which appeared to contain crack cocaine. The cocaine was beside a set of keys belonging to Torbor.

Torbor was arrested after it was learned the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office held multiple warrants for him on narcotics charges.

On the way to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center, Torbor was asked if he had any other contraband on him because to take it into the building would result in an additional charge. Torbor said he did not have anything.

During the booking process, a search found a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, more crack cocaine, MDMA (ecstasy), and synthetic marijuana inside Torbor’s pants.

Torbor was booked for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of MDMA with intent to distribute, possession of synthetic marijuana with intent to distribute, introduction of contraband into a penal facility, and the drug warrants from Caddo Parish.
