Louisiana’s newly enacted Maternal Wellness Tax Credit offers a powerful way for individuals and businesses to support families in our communities. Through this program, donors may receive a 50% state income tax credit on qualifying contributions to certified maternal wellness centers.
One such center is Life Choices of North Central Louisiana, located in Ruston and serving Lincoln Parish and surrounding areas. This faith-based nonprofit offers a wide range of services – most at no cost -including pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, STD testing, parenting classes, options counseling, mentoring, fatherhood support, post-abortion recovery, and material assistance through the Hope Shoppe baby boutique.
With $5 million in credits available statewide each year, donors can secure their share on a first-come, first-served basis. Contributions to centers like Life Choices make it possible to support local families and youth – proactively addressing maternal and reproductive health needs while earning meaningful tax relief.
