A Lincoln Parish man was arrested for crimes related to sex offender registration after he allegedly provided false information to authorities for years.
Zachary Colt Harvey, 35, was arrested July 22 for failure to register as a sex offender and two counts of false swearing after the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office determined he had given an incorrect home address and employer at least since 2020.
Harvey appeared at LPSO to complete his annual sex offender registration. He was placed under arrest on a warrant for allegedly deceiving authorities by giving a China Grove Road address as his residence and a local plumbing firm as his employer.
On his 2023 and 2024 registration forms, Harvey allegedly swore the false information was correct by signing an acknowledgement of the penalty for false swearing.
Harvey was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center. Bail on the warrant was set at $125,000. Bail amount on the false swearing charges was not available at publication time.
