A Ruston man was arrested for possession of methamphetamine after a complaint from a woman that he was at her door wanting to have sex in exchange for drugs.
Reginald Dewayne Smith, 39, was located about 4 a.m. on July 21 after Ruston officers responded to East Line Avenue in response to the call.
Smith was found standing near a white van described by the caller who said the man’s nickname was “Blue.” Smith admitted he sometimes used that name.
While officers were conversing with Smith, a clear plastic bag of suspected methamphetamine fell to the ground from his body. The bag was seized as evidence and Smith was arrested.
He was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
