Another opportunity to hear Ruston Police Chief Eric Watson address community concerns is scheduled for tonight at The Bridge Community Church at 2301 N. Trenton Street.
The fourth in a series of community-focused gatherings open to the public, the meeting offers an opportunity to meet Chief Watson, ask questions, and discuss public safety and the future of law enforcement in Ruston. The meeting starts at 6 p.m.
Watson, who worked for RPD in the ’90s before going on to a career with the federal Drug Enforcement Administration, has been police chief since March.
Earlier “Chats with the Chief” took place at King’s Funeral Home, Mays Chapel CME Church, and Zion Traveler Baptist Church. Forty to 50 citizens have attended each meeting.
